Here in our nation’s capital…

Jorge and I are in Mexico City and as you’ll see by the pictures that follow… we’re having a wonderful time!

After rides on a metro, a bus and a taxi…  oh my! we arrived at

“Handcraft Heaven” AKA “Bazaar del Sabado. ”

 A feast for the eyes!

After several hours of taking it all in, Jorge, “mi paisana” Suzie and I got back on the bus and the metro and headed to “La Opera”, one of Mexico City’s truly magnificent restaurant- bars. One often sees the Capital’s newsmakers there but today, we found Jorge’s cousins!

A delicious lunch, some strong tequila and we were on our way again. This time to “Bellas Artes” where we took in the Bicentennial art exhibition. The reproductions are by some of the country’s best-ever artists.
