November 13th Update
We had fun last night!
The Third Annual Latin American Bloggers’ Conference got off to a great start last night with the “Meet the Bloggers” social event at the Merida English Language Library. Each of us enjoyed the opportunity to put a face to the words that we’ve read for quite some time.
If you are a blogger and want to join us for today’s sessions, the program follows in the next few paragraphs. Come join us!
Online at Yucatan Today, you can read about my new book “Magic Made in Mexico” Here’s the link:

Plans for the Bloggers’ Event are going swimmingly!
The Third Annual Latin American Bloggers’ Conference is all set to rock and roll. For any bloggers who have somehow missed the buzz, you can check out the program and read the blog roll at
If you think you’d enjoy attending the conference, there’s still time to register at the above mentioned URL.
Things will get started tonight (Nov. 12) with an informal “Meet the Bloggers” social from 7 – 10 pm at the Merida English Language Library, Calle 53 Between 66 and 68 Streets. This event is open to the bloggers attending the event, other bloggers and blog readers. If you’d like to introduce yourself to some the writers of your favorite blogs, please join us… There will be a cash bar and snacks. (Bless you if you feel a burning urge to bring some nibbles to share. All donations are welcome!)
The conference will be held at Tecnologia Turistica Total (TTT)
On Saturday Nov. 13th, we’ll have a full day at the conference venue, the college, Tecnología Turística Total (TTT) Calle 57 #492 Between 56 y 58 right downtown. There’s wireless internet so bring your laptops…
Beginning at 9 am with coffee and croissants, our morning agenda includes three presentations:
10-10:45: Keeping Your Blog’s Focus;
11-11:45: Internet Ethics and copyright issues
12 -12:45pm : Photography, supporting your blog with photos
We’ll then take a break for lunch at “Las Vigas”, upstairs at Los Arcos Hotel, Calle 63 Between 66 & 64
A final presentation will be held from:
3:00 – 3:45 pm: Writing for Bloggers
The work day will wrap up with the chance to take part in two round-table (actually rectangular-table) moderated workshops. One group will address WordPress and the other Blogger. I’m sure we’ll all gain a lot from sharing our information about the mysteries of the two
Every Saturday evening there are two “street fairs”
“En el Corazon de Merida” (In the Heart of Merida)
Both of these feature music, dancing, food, art and crafts for sale
Our last activity as a group will be buffet breakfast at “El Gran Cafe” on Sunday Nov 14th at 10 am. This popular café is located at the foot of Paseo de Montejo.
We’re sure that “a good time will be had by all” See you at the Third Annual Latin American Bloggers’ Conference!
